I've known this for quite a while but havn't really be worried about it. I've given it some thought though and have admit to myself this isn't normal. Does anyone know what can cause this ?

In unproblematic terms your double jointed. If it causes you no headache and only really twist's when you want it to then you are only just double jointed.
