I will try to make this short.. I have be on Lorcet 10/325 for almost 3yrs. I have a really doctor that i go to. Well ending week I went into her office and told her that i feel like my body was getting to dependent on the headache medicine and that during the day i be taking 3-4 more pills then Im supposed too. Im allowed 6 a day. And I told her that I be ready to quit them. She was wanting to put me on methadone and I told her that I didnt want that. Because I hear it is worse then what im currently taken. Ive been told that suboxone is great when coming rotten pain pills.
My questions are: When I start taking suboxen during the hours of daylight, how much pain will i feel and how habitually do u think i will have to give somebody a lift this medicine. My doctor said that my body is very senistive to withdrawls bc i told her when i goto bed and rouse the next morning that im already feeling withdrawls from not taking them adjectives night. Crazy huh. So any experiences with this prescription and how it made u feel would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

Waking up within withdrawal is juts part od person dependent on short acting opiates like hydrocodone. I used to leave pills on my hours of darkness stand and take them early contained by the a.m., then go wager on to sleep til they kicked in.
Suboxone is a long lasting opiate, intensely similar to methadone. They both have half lives of around 37 hours. Lorcet have a half life of in the region of 3 hours.
The problem with these long lasting opiates is they are extremely detrimental to the brain. When you wake up in deduction on a short acting opiate, that is from your brain starting to regulate itself. That never happens on long enduring opiates, and your addiction will actually become much much worse if you stay on these drugs for maintenance.
Sub and methdaone can be used sparingly and for a short length of time, like a few weeks, to get bad pain meds. However, it still is not easy, and you still will be in motion through withdrawal. A short detox with sub is easier than cold turkey, and that is to say the method used by most rehabs these days.
Your pain will be another issue altogether. Typically your niggle will skyrocket for several months. I'm a chronic pain patient who used sub to grasp off opiates, and the first year my pain be intense. This winter my pain levels hold become more bearable, but basically it takes a long time to know what your true strain level is, until your brain gets right again.
By mortal addicted to opiates, your brains endorphin factory has been shut down. It is surplus to requirements because opiates take care of that. When you quit using, it take a while for your brian to start producing those feel good distress reducing endorphins...Plus an addict develops many extra opiate receptors within the brain, and although they never die off, they do calm down contained by time.
honestly, and as i said, this won;t be an easy thing to over come, but it is doable. Really your best bet would be to taper down on your hydro use, and after jump off of them. You'll have a feeling bad for 2-4 weeks, but if your dr. is willing to confer you some comfort meds, like a sleep aid and a benzo to help appease you, you can make it.
suboxone is used to take away withdraw symtoms alot of population who are addicted to pain medications resembling oxycodone and roxys use it to get rid of the physical addiction so they can just agreement with the metal part of becoming sober
Suboxone is horrible for pain, it is a partial agonist which medium it is only going to work half approach. 3 years of hydrocodone, You were physically dependant on them after the first 2 months of taking them. You can probably get away near 2mg of suboxone a day and you really SHOULD NOT GO ON either one, I would read out the methadone would be the better choice for than you would only need 10mg's a morning, weaning would be easier and if your sensitive to withdrawals what do you when you start to withdraw past its sell-by date this suboxone!
No matter what you DO, remain on the methadone or suboxone for ONLY 2 months, 3 months max! I would not go on any one for you would be done with this in a month and the deduction from 100mg's of Hydrocodone a day is not going to be bad if you wean, your doctor should wean you past its sell-by date the hydrocodone and reduce the dose every 3 days and NOT go on any of the sub or meth and boy do I have the experience.
Take your main dose for three days, the subsequent three days cut it down 5, the next three cut it down 5 and so on and so one, and the last 5 step to 2.5. THAT is how this should be done. You start putting suboxone in you, which has the ultimate affinity for opiate receptors on the planet than any other drug, your receptors are going to be grabbed and have a drug on them so tightly, your body will NEVER be indistinguishable after that suboxone, and if you ever need pain pills again, your body will never respond to the hydro again close to it once did, you are indvertantly going to make yourself worse! AND I MEAN REALLY BAD! Trust me and I have tremendous experience. WEAN stale the Hydrocodone. Suboxone and Methadone are for real addicts beside real problems. Either way, the Suboxone is going to be worse to wean sour of in the end than the Hydrocodone. Suboxone human being a partial agonist is like a torture chamber, you will regret it, unless you get on it, and grasp off it FAST.
If your not snorting these pills, chewing up 10 a day at once, or dissolving them within water and drinking them, just wean stale it!
3 years and you feel like your body is getting dependant on the medication, that's funny. You be dependant the first 3 months after use. WEAN off the Hydro! Forget the big artillery.
Methadone is not worse than the hydrocodone, Methadone would be easier, but it depends on the person, from what your describing me you don't need either one. Source(s): RN Registered zilch. Weaned off of 200mg's of methadone a day as prescribed for headache with no medical advise, I weaned of Oxycodone, I be reading on opiates for over 10 years and pain pills and advise is my duration.
