I've known this type of pain ever since I be a teenager, so I don't worry in the order of it being a heart attack. this is also disassociated with any type of digestion problems. The stomach-ache never radiates outward away from my heart.
What causes this?

Wow every time I hiccup or drink something too fast, my chest does matching exact thing. You could try going to the doctor. Sorry that I don't know.
i frequently sprain my ribcage so i know this feeling adjectives too well.
you can sprain your chest muscles from breathing too hard, singing, coughing, yell, etc..
if this is the case, there isnt much you can do but to lug it easy.
see your family doctor freshly to rule out any other problems.
I have (& still have!) the exact same problem! I found out last year that I have chronic bronchitis & I am taking a special inhaler for it now & it reduces the niggle!
I had inflammtion in my windpipe so it feel like it was within my heart.
Please get it checked out because it could be easily sorted out for you & I know how unpromising the pain can be, don't put it off any longer!
Or you could could be have panic attacks or you could have asthma - it could be a few things - treatable things. :)
Go to the Doctor tomorrow! That is an order... from a complete randomer on the t'internets! But you know I'm right! ;)

Could be an ancient flame or a person you shared blood with when you be a child & thought it wouldn't matter as you aged. Ooooo.
Maybe its asthma or something. I would have it checked out just to be sure. As you find older it could become a serious problem so if somethings wrong its better to have it fixed very soon then wait.
Sometimes when someone has a affliction in the chest, its cancer. But lets not leap to conclusions. Ask your docter
