For the past 2yrs i've been taking 20 30/500mg of co-codamol at hours of darkness before i go to bed. A friend just now told me this is dangerous but i had blood test last week & my liver is fine, does this mean i'm tolerant to them & won't very soon get liver damage & can verbs as usual.

You are addicted to these pain nouns tablets. Co-Codamol, as you may or may not be aware has codeine in them.
Codeine is importantly addictive and you clearly have a high dependency to this drug and are tolerant of big levels. Your liver may be showing reasonable function test now, but you ARE doing damage that will capture up with you late.

And as one other poster suggested, your liver will be kill by the paracetamol. Overdose of paracetamol can cause permanent and irreversible liver blight that will kill suddenly.
GO BACK TO YOUR DR she is failing you and the medical profession for prescribing these drugs at this level. BELLS should hold been ringing in her director long ago
you are lucky to be alive, that much paracetamol can and will kill you. It take 4 hours for 1000mg of paracetamol to leave the body. hence the maximum of 2 four hourly. And the maximum you can take within a 24 hour period without plunder to the liver and kidneys is 8. You are playing russian roulette. Plus I expect you will be expecting a liver transplant if you don't kill yourself ist. Get down the drs, confess you are addicted to painkillers. Codiene is banned contained by many countries for this reason. Even over the counter brands within the uk are unavailable in some countries, and they simply contain 8mg. You need help or possibly the reason you do this at night is you don't expect to rouse up. Also as the codiene can affect the bowel and it's motility you risk damge there too.
You can't reverse organ damage, it builds up and thats it, no turning spinal column. You need your dr to get this sorted as you will hold side effects and withdrawral symptoms, such as a head ache, the shakes etc. You will want to stay away from all pain killer of an opiate nature in the adjectives. You will also need to check with any over the counter products such as cold nouns tablets. If you have damaged your organs even the small amounts within these will do further damage. Co-Camel are very strong at 500mg, the maximum dose in a 24hr time is 8 (2 tabs a time). I know this as my wife takes them for Rheumatoid Arthritis and the doctor other stresses the maximum dose. If they are not working for you at a normal dose you should see your GP and ask him for something else. If my wife have a bad flare up she has Ora-morph (morphine base painkiller).
You could be storing up trouble for a later date and sound to me close to you are addicted to them...
