This is hard to explain, but I will try.
I play football and whenever I start to run (sprints, mile run, etc.) and then stop suddenly, my heel will start hurting almost to the point that I can't step on it.
I've been told that it is a bone spur, but I have no conception what that is. Help please?
Answers:
Ask your doc to x ray your foot they will be capable of tell if it is a bone spur. At first they probably would recommmend doing some stretching exercising like letting your heels decline back while half standing on a step. They may also recommend getting a cortizone shot surrounded by the foot. If that doesn't help, the next route is surgery.
Well, currently my heel is hurt also. I/m within Track and Field and I run the Hurtles. When I landed after jumping a hurtle I accidentally land on my heel and It hurt a lot. They told me to Ice it every night and to try to stay stale it for a while. So my suggestion to you is to stay of your heel as much as possible(let it rest) and ice it every night. Hope this help and hope you feel better. Source(s): personal experience
