Shoulder Issue - Acromial Bone Spur...?

I recently had an MRI on my shoulder that be causing some discomfort, and was told that I enjoy an acromial bone spur.

The doctor told me surgury will fix the problem, but I have to wait until I enjoy health insurance. I told him I started lifting weights again (lightly) and the pain is subsiding. He told me to pay attention, and do not lift heavy weights even if I can do so minus much pain.

Does anyone know much about around acromial bone spurs? Will working out pose a serious risk of injury?
Answers:
Absolutely. A bone spur is pretty much what it sounds like: a sharp abnormal bone growth. It could pull the surrounding tissue if you work out too hard. Another problem is whatever originally cause the growth of the spur will be aggrivated by too much excercise, furthering the growth and making the problem worse.

Take it easy. You'll be sorry if you don't.
Be measured worknig out. do not do anything that might irritate things in your shoulder.
