If you cut your paw on a slightly-old, non-rusty piece of metal, do you have need of a tetanus shot?

I haven't had one in resembling 20+ years. They don't give it routinely anymore. Should I wait and see if in that are symptoms? It was a sharp metal underneath our couch. It cut enough to bleed, but superficially. Is it worth self seen about? (or would I be laugh out of their office? LOL)
Answers:
You should get one any way! The last item that you want is tetanus. The tetanus bacteria lives on objects with little to no oxygen such as rust but its a myth that it have to have rust on it. If the tetanus bacteria is present and get into your wound it can bury itself deep where in attendance is little oxygen and thrive. Tetanus shots only hurt the next year a little. You need to turn and get 1 for sure!
Tetanus shots are primarily necessary for puncture wounds, but adjectives cuts can produce issues also.

Give your doctor a call and see if they recommend that you come in.
