A fever is defined, apparently, as 1 degree or more above the "normal" heat of 98.6 degrees. I was thinking though- what if your everyday temperature is, say, 96.1? Or lower? Does this penny-pinching that a "normal" temperature of 98.6 degrees is a restlessness? Or does it only reach hallucination classification when it reaches 99.6 or so degrees, regardless of your own common temperature? Just wondering.

It's 1 degree above the person's usual temperature. However, since most people do not know their personal typical temperature, they will not know they have a frenzy. Such as when you're at the doctors and they take your temperature, if it's 98.6 they will not speak you have a fever unless they know (or you know and update them) that your normal temperature is right to be heard 96 degrees.
