You can get Tetanus, Cat Scratch Disease and some other infections from animal scratch. Considering it's a kitten and most likely indoors, and not using a dirty litter box yet, she should be fine. Just be on the look out for any abnormality like increased redness, swelling or pus. Those are the signs that somethings not right. Source(s): I've be through at lest 30 kittens/cats in my life and hundreds of scratch.
