My family and I leave Thursday to LA and I enjoy an ear infection. I dont know if its the safest thing for me to fly 6 hours direct flight with an ear infection. What do you expect?

no, it can be dangrous when you landing and you dont chew on a sweet it makes your eyes really painful and it really hurts beside an ear efection even with a sweet it will still hurt and could probasly make it worse!

doctors will put in the picture you not to...it's your ear. if you hit the right air pockets/turbulance you could go through like mad of pain. worse case would be a rumptured ear drum sorry to read out. even typing that made me wince hard.
The greatest risk is that you won't know how to pressurize your ears. As the plane ascends, air drains out of the middle ear. When you land, nouns pressure increases. But the Eustachian tubes may be blocked and so air pressure will push IN on your eardrums. That can be VERY painful. I did that once and ruptured my eardrum. I wa hurting and dizzy for days afterwards. What a great road to ruin a vacation!
Here's what you can do. Take a good decongestant until that time, and in mid-flight. Chew gum when the plane begins its descent. Hold your breath and at impossible to tell apart time, press in with your abdoment (Valsalva maneuver). Or, hold your trunk and GENTLY act as if you are tryng to blow your nose.
