"Someone Call An Ambulance" proposal...?

So i was wondering...
If something happens at a crowded place, and a human being says "Someone call an ambulance"...
Well, what if everyone nearby calls an ambulance...then you'll own like 20 of them!
I reckon you chould yell "I will" so that other ppl don't...what do you regard, any comments?

It happens adjectives the time. When the first call comes in, the ambulance is dispatched. When the further calls come in, the dispatcher asks going on for the details and determines that it is probably the same incident, and doesn't dispatch additional unit. The first in ambulance will call surrounded by if any additional resources are needed.

If some calls come into a different dispatch center, they will send for the dispatcher responsible for the incident's area and ask if they are aware of it and if someone is responding.

Sometimes there is some initial confusion, but the dispatchers are pros and take it sorted out fast. Source(s): ten years on the ambulance
This rarely happens.

I own been in a few emergency situations and usually if you ask someone to call for an ambulance everyone looks around assuming someone else will do it lol.

Central dispatch would not send more than one or two as they control where the ambulances will be sent. The first few question are usually:
-where are you,
-whats happenned,
-how many people are involved/injured,
Central dispatch would soon realise that there is already an ambulance being sent to that location if a telephone call has already been made by looing at the computer peak.

Does this help?

the 911 dispatcher places it in the system so if someone else call then they can say "oblige is on the way. BTW you are supposed to appoint someone to call. You can say" hey you and point to them and phone 911". Dont do a general "hey some one call 911" because nobody may phone call.
Most people would see what the issue be before contacting dispatch. People answering 911 calls next go about how masses ambulances to distpatch. They would direct the caller to find the incident and report number of victims/how they are injured etc. Also, because so many ethnic group called and would give the dispatcher an address, nearby would only be one ambulance sent to the area. Then the EMS personell would turn about asking for more resources.
Cells phones enjoy GPS in them so they will see that it is coming from the same nouns. Plus dispatch will see that it is a same call. I called 911 for a hit an run and the dispatcher know exactly what truck was running because the other people call to. I followed the guy and the cops came and arrested him
If you call 911 it all go to a common dispatch location. Generally there is one dispatcher for respectively emergency service (ambulance, fire, and police). Therefore one dispatcher gets all the report, and they will sort one incident and send resources accordingly.
Yep, happens a lot. We call for it a duplicate call. One time in dispatch, they have 55 ppl call in the SAME ACCIDENT. Source(s): EMT-B 7years
I took CPR, and you're supposed to point at a specific person, and specifically recount that person to call an ambulance. If you shout it, noone will do it because they'll assume someone else is taking protection of it.
