Nope, sleep, rest, paracetamol, lemon and honey will help, but there is no cure for a cold!
In a word `NO`. There are no medicinal properties to whiskey. If you rob the whiskey with hot water you may get the impression better but this is only the effects of the water acting on your nasal alleyway. Try taking whiskey and hot lemon/lemonade, again the whiskey has no effect, but it tastes suitable.
Maybe not,but it to be sure makes it more tolerable.
If you whip the shot you must get under the covers and sweat the cold out.
Pour whisky into a mug, add boiling water (about matching amount as there is whisky) and a teaspoon of sugar. Drink whilst hot. Old scottish remedy known as a hot toddy.
Sadly, no. There is no known cure for the common cold. You can however alleviate the symptoms. And you might know how to reduce the severity and duration of the infection. Things that will help are:
Making sure your nutrition is biddable (enough vitamins and minerals in your diet).
Drinking enough marine - about 8 cups a day.
Getting bed rest.
Supportive medication - resembling asprin and anti-congestants.
And then, let's be honest, if you're feeling discouraging, a shot or two of whiskey will make you feel a bit better and will aid you sleep. So, if you've got all the other basis covered then go ahead!
whisky producers would be even richer if they found the cure for the adjectives cold!!
There is no cure for the common cold.
However if you have a sore throat you can drink hot tea or hot river with a slice of lemon and a spoon of honey in it. You can add on a shot of whisky to that if you like. It won't cure you but will make you discern a lot better.

Unfortunately not. Colds are caused by viruses. There's no cure but drug can help build up a tolerance to fight the virus. A shot of whiskey, or a few, might aid you through the misery though ; ) Just don't drink if you're taking cold medicines. Cough syrup and alcohol is not a good mix.
