I have worked in several hospitals and hold noticed that most doctors are arrogant, or just plain scrounging. Why do they act this way? Is it because they own been in academy for so long and are bitter on all the life they missed out on? It seem that they are allowed to get away with doomed to failure bedside manor but nurses and techs would be fired promptly for such behavior.

They can afford to be arrogant. It makes me sick, too. But I know some doctors that are awesome and were great near me while I was in the hospital for eight months. If they achieve to know you and you're not arrogant, they won't be.

You to some extent answered it...some think they missed out for going to school adjectives those years, and also due to those many years of schooling, a number of them are out of touch near the real world.
I notice a similar attitude contained by college professors.

doctors have different priorities than nurses and techs. with a constrained number of hours in a day and a usually glorious load of people to vigilance for, the number one priority is not small talk, it's making an accurate diagnosis and giving the correct treatment. this difference in ambition is commonly interpreted as being rude and cold, but it's reality.
does this close-fisted they have the right to be outright jerks? no route. and I know plenty of docs who aren't. it's a shame that a few bad apples spoil the barrel.
They spend a lot of time within their life to become one this leaves them ignorant of other family feelings

Drs. are very busy and with HMO's dictating their lives they are surrounded by a hurry. Plus drs. are not supposed to get attached to their patients. Which is a bummer cuz then we don't win treated as individuals.
